About Gi

Gi, is a wife, mom, fintech leader, kids’ ministry volunteer at her local church, and an author (stay tuned for that!) She loves nature, hiking, traveling, exploring new cuisines, learning languages, and above all, she loves Jesus.

Born and raised in Colombia, Gi grew up in a Christian home, though there was much brokenness within it. From an early age, she learned to find refuge in Jesus and to run to Him in her darkest moments. At sixteen, just before moving to the United States, she met a woman who knew nothing about her yet described in detail one of those painful nights from her childhood, revealing that Jesus had been standing right there, comforting her.

That encounter changed Gi’s life forever and planted a deep desire in her heart for every child to know Jesus and to experience His love and presence personally.

After moving to the United States, Gi met her husband during their senior year of high school. They married a year later at just nineteen years old. To say the odds were stacked against them is an understatement. They both carried the weight of childhood wounds into their marriage.

Their journey through seven years of infertility became one of their greatest trials, but God led them to surrender everything, the past, the present and the future. Through it all, He brought deep healing, helped them build their marriage on the Rock, and ultimately blessed them with the bravest, most beautiful, and sassiest daughter, a true miracle. Their their story is still being written. 🤍
